A beginer's character creation

I’m currently working on a character for a solo campaign my girlfriend wants to run. I’ve been a huge fan of the Lasats ever since I discovered them, and the idea of wielding a double-bladed lightsaber adapted from a bo rifle is a dream come true.

I have a rough outline for his backstory: an orphan of the Lassan Purge, he was bought by a collector who, witnessing his limited abilities with the Force, decided that this collector’s item might allow him to acquire even more—and so he was sent on a mission as a temple raider, an unscrupulous archaeologist, and an explorer in search of rarities.

I’ve looked into the Pathfinder and Hermit specializations and I’m a bit undecided, but I’m also open to other suggestions.

As a solo player, to keep things balanced, my partner suggested I start with two specializations, potentially from different career paths.

With that in mind, do you have any recommendations, suggestions, or other advice?

Feel free to share—I’ll take it all!

My pod and I have finally finished our pre-constructed deck duels, and now it’s time to upgrade them!

I’m absolutely obsessed with Lorhold Spirit and I’m torn about whether to include Osgir, the Reconstructor. Given that many people online recommend adding plenty of mana rocks, he could help them leave the graveyard whenever they’re discarded, improve late-game ramp, help bring out a few artefacts that boost the Spirit tribal subtheme, and (as I have him in my bulk) allow me to double up on Portal to Phyrexia.

I’m not entirely sure if this would work and I’d be keen to hear some feedback.

I get the feeling that the reason I haven’t found anyone discussing this online is probably because I’m missing a major flaw in the concept, but it looks like a fun idea.
