For some context, I’m a closeted gay 18-year-old guy. I just attended my college orientation, and there was a guy there that I thought was really cute. I wanted to go up and talk to him but I was too nervous. I don’t know for sure, but I got the feeling he might be into guys too. I was able to find his Instagram through the name on his name tag. Would it be weird or stalkerish to follow him and send him a DM even though we never really talked? If not, what would be the best thing to say? I’ve never done anything like this before. I know I might be overthinking it, but he seemed really nice and I’d genuinely like to get to know him better.
