PPA

Hi, my bestie just had her first baby a few months ago & is in the throws of postpartum anxiety. She doesn't live super close & isn't the kind of person to ask for help. Whenever I go over the house is super clean , the laundry is done & everything is tidy so I don't know what else I can DO to help her out.

Should I bring over a meal?? What else can I do to support her during this time? I hate going there empty handed.

Please, any thoughts or advice is welcome 💚

Do we go to Dana Farber?

Hi everyone. My grandma is 85 and, aside from this, has been very healthy. She was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer a few months ago. She couldn't complete chemotherapy because after just a few treatments she ended up in the ICU and nearly died.

She had a lumpectomy followed by radiation, which she has now finished. As far as we know, she could currently be cancer-free, but her oncologist is recommending the chemo pill (capecitabine) to essentially complete her treatment/reduce the risk of recurrence. She's understandably terrified of going through chemotherapy again.

I'm wondering if it's worth getting a second opinion at Dana-Farber instead of continuing at UVM. It's about a 4.5-hour drive, and I'm not sure whether Medicare would cover treatment there. Has anyone had Dana-Farber recommend a different approach for someone who can't tolerate chemotherapy, or is it likely they'd recommend the same thing?

Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated🩷
