I remember seeing all the people with cool cosmetics and hair just lounging around.

To my kid's eyes all they seemed to do was chill in groups, inside towns, not doing anything. I didn't get it, but i still thought they were so cool. They seemed unreachable to me. Like some popular club i was not invited to.

Me i kept to myself. Quietly grinding, working together when there was an opportunity, and sometimes giving out mesos to newbies when i got rich later.

It was so nerve wrecking talking to a girl. I was super impressed with people who knew exactly what they were doing in PQ's. And anyone over level 100 was just an instant celebrity in my eyes.

Its funny, i was pretty popular in my own small town primary school but inside maple was a whole different game.

It's gonna be so much fun to jump back into this game with y'all.

Like seriously we were all little kids when we played this. I remember playing this over at a friends house and stuff SO VIVIDLY. It was such a joy.

And now we're literally all 30. The same group of kids with totally different lives now, all itching to jump back in.

I can't wait to find a guild of old slow gamers who only manage to log in once a week due to a job or kids or whatever, but still manage to grind some mobs and have a good time.

I realized i've been getting pats on the back every single time i've learned to mask harder.

Every layer further removed from my authenticity was met with congratulations.

I was like addicted to 'personal growth' in other words MASKING HARDER.

Even people i barely saw once a year felt so free to comment on my personal way of being. Saying how much i've grown of how much having a girlfriend has impacted me the right way. thank you so much for the future burnout dumbass. If i was in the literal happiest moment of my life you'd probably question if i was doing allright. Keep your comments to yourself you stupid sick fucks.
