Maybe a low effort post, sorry.

The game doesn't come out until 2pm my time but I took the whole day off anyway so no one will bother me lol. I don't think I'll be able to focus until release, anyway. I'll just be impatiently waiting.

It's very dumb and childish for someone in their 30's, I'm not gonna lie, but damn I'm way too excited about this game. I'm trying to be realistic cause there's a chance it won't live up to my expectations. Not to mention initial server issues. Once the honeymoon period wares off, it's definitely a grindy game. I wonder how long I'll actually keep up with it. I usually fall off online games after like a year or less. We'll see!

I understand people wanting to secure that long lasting IGN, the gamertag they have used for years,or even just people who have insane OCD and must have a name with no numbers, 4 or 5 letters only, capital first letter etc.

But... am I the only one that isn't too worried about it? I don't have a long list of random words from the dictionary or gamertags picked out and I will just think of something when I come to it tomorrow after work.

Hell, my original character in 2007 was Theifman738 (yes, misspelled lol)
I am not worried too much, as it just seems like needed stress in a game where people are already hyper analyzing and min maxxing to be the best before release. (despite maybe not admitting it, its just our ways as gamers)

over a year since the announcement and somehow we’re finally here

a year of dooming, arguing over every nexon decision, complaining about the fa, complaining about the lack of roadmap and declaring the game dead on arrival

and now there’s literally 1 day left

whatever happens from here, just wanted to appreciate the fact that we actually made it. it’s been a long ass wait

i'm a simple guy, alright. i make my username some variation of grant across all the games i play because it makes thing simpler, you know? i've made some real life friends through games and they can just call me my real name from the get go.

but i've been made aware that my name is now entering meme status in this game because another grant flew too close to the sun, and now what was once my personal identity is morphing into something sinister. where does the grantpocalpyse stop? at what point does my name lose all meaning? is everyone in classic MS just going to think i'm a meme follower?

when you first enter the character select screen and type 'grant420'--before you press enter-- i want you to ask yourself "how would a real grant feel that i'm stealing his name right now?"

so now that we're past that, what names are you actually going to choose?

Whoever gets it should give it to the poor guy.

I think we can safely estimate between 15,000 - 20,000+ Founders will be starting their journey on Maple Island tomorrow.

How did I come to this number?

Well... When you consider a baseline core of about 5,000 active users on Reddit forums and other social platforms, and then take into consideration the silent majority or "Lurker ratio" (the ratio implying that for every 1 person actively posting or liking a social media thread there are roughly 10 - 15 silent players who read news, watch YouTube videos etc...) we take our core baseline of 5,000 and multiply that by 10 (to be on the conservative side), giving us 50,000 highly interested players that would be aware of Founders Packs (EA).

....We then take the 50,000 and apply a 30-40% conversion rate (based on most polling, could be lower, could be higher, especially when you consider the recent announcements regarding Founders access) and that gives us a conservative (but realistic) estimate of between 15,000 - 22,500 people that will be purchasing EA and starting their journey tomorrow.

Now that's a whole lot of Grant variants running around on day one.... Many more than I think people realize will be playing day one.

Anyway, can't wait to play with everyone tomorrow. 😎
