Debating on whether or not to continue to main my character, could use some help sorting out progression speed. [Kronos]
I made a brand new MapleStory account earlier this year and was around 3k Legion at the start of CW3. Between all the growth pots and quad dailies on CW/Kronos, I’m currently sitting at 8k.
My CW3 hyperburn was an Erel. I got it to 280 and just liberated for the first time ever, but somewhere along the way I realized I really don’t like Erel as a main. I enjoy playing it occasionally, maybe as an LC, but definitely not enough to keep investing into it.
My main for the foreseeable future is going to be HoYoung.
I recently used the unga-bunga grind method to push my HY to 260, and he’s currently 267. Right now I have full Arcanes, 2-set Superior Gollux (belt/pendant), four hybrid meso/drop pieces, and a 100% drop fam.
What I’m trying to figure out is whether it makes sense to keep seriously progressing this HY with CW4 coming up.
Based on what we know about CW4, would I be better off leaving my current HY where he is for now, farming weekly bosses for a few months, and hoarding meso so I can dump it into a CW4 HoYoung once it transfers to Kronos?
Or should I just keep pushing my current HY and use CW4 for another LC instead?
The main reason I’m unsure is that I don’t really know what normal progression speed looks like anymore. The last time I seriously played MapleStory was around 2020, so I’m pretty out of touch with how long it realistically takes to go from where I am now to things like liberation and Grandis bossing.
TLDR:
How much time/progression would I actually be giving up by waiting for CW4 versus just committing to my current HY now?
Would appreciate advice from anyone who has progressed a fresh main through this stage recently.

Workaround for copilot key? [Galleon 100 SD]
I just got a new keyboard and realized that the R-ctrl key was replaced with a button only used to open copilot.
It's interfering with some video games and shortcuts that I used and I am not quite sure how to get normal usage out of they keyboard. I would really appreciate any help!
Looking for advice for ctene that helps you survive longer fights
I’m trying to liberate my first character (Erel, 279). I can absolutely clear the bosses- cgloom is about a 15-20 minute fight. I’d like to know what boss mechanics you struggled with and how you’re able to consistently deal with them.
I’ve watched the YouTube videos and stuff but I figured I’d ask you guys. Theres certain mechanics for bosses that I just innately can avoid without thinking about it, like upjump+blink to avoid gloom laser.
Will: p2 & p3 I die so often. I get out of p1 with no deaths and I’m never really failing a tests. I just die a lot and would like some tips on how to survive longer.
Lucid: I clear this weekly on my first attempt I’m pretty comfortable with it.
Verus Hilla: I haven’t attempted cvhilla. Normal vhilla is a longer fight as I am terrified the entire time. What mechanics change between normal and chaos?
Chaos Darkness: there’s so much stuff on the screen. I’m not sure what to prioritize paying attention to and I’m not sure what certain things do. What is the little mobs purpose? Can I kill the mad mage/warrior/etc? Do I just stay behind darknell for the most part. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Would I be an idiot to reroll a character with legacy items?
Back when Kanna farming was consuming more hours than time on my main, I had a male charcter. I havent played in many years, I think gacha games just rewired how I percieve characters lmfao but I hate my kanna now and all of the fashion for male sprites.
I am heavily considering burning a new kanna. My current one has a potted badge, 3 dark totems, and a legacy spider familiar. I havent played in quite a while, so I am unsure the impact of these items by todays standards due to power creep.
I was planning on making it a Bossing mule ~> eventual Challenger, so on one hand losing out on damage is a really 2D brain decicion but if I am going to be spending so many hours on it over time I'd like to enjoy it lol
