Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice before I can get my hamster to a vet.

I have a dwarf hamster, and I noticed redness around one of his ears and near the eye area. The fur around the ear looks stiff/crusty, almost like it is stuck together, and the area seems slightly swollen. I’m not sure if this is irritation from scratching, mites, a skin infection, or possibly an ear issue.

He is still eating and drinking normally, and his behavior seems mostly normal so far. He does seem to groom that area particularly more, but I'm not sure. I haven’t noticed obvious lethargy or loss of appetite. I have not applied any medicine, alcohol, or human treatment. I’m planning to contact an exotic vet/hamster vet, but I wanted to ask if anyone has seen something similar.
