Deceptively sold a smokers car.
I was sold a 1 year old car, 9k miles, $47,000 car, that was a smokers car. I specifically asked if it was a smokers car and was told it had no smells but after the air fresheners wore off it’s apparent!!!
I found 22 air fresheners stashed all over the car.
I researched the matter and found a number of 7% to 11%(for luxury vehicles) for a depreciation of value.
I feel very wronged and all the dealership would do is detail it for me with an ozone treatment but they are 5.5 hours from my home so they offered $250 in a check to find my own detailer.
Is it possible to sue for the depreciation of value? They said the car was worth whatever someone was willing to pay for it and I was stuck with the car.
