I tested for an audio study and the only noise i could hear was my hard drive, How can I take the test without my computer running? My house was dead quiet except that faint noise. Anyone got suggestions?

I am confused by all the new products in the cosmetics dept. Is there a good website to go to that explains what is what? I see stuff and dont know what it does and am worried I am missing that one product that could make me more beautiful...I haven't worn makeup for about 5 years, and im 61. I feel like i want to look my best since im back working in public. thanks!
It still does today. I hope to God I didn't just jinx myself, I have it above my kitchen sink and watch Bad Friends podcasts while I cook or do dishes. I pray it Never gonna stop working!
