Thoughts on photo quality

Just getting opinions here so no right or wrong answers. In researching film photography it seems like photo quality matters to a lot of people. Is that a big factor to many of you in what camera you choose and how you take your photos? I always thought part of taking pictures on film WAS to get a less defined picture, like you sort of wanted the fuzzier, more nostalgic “from my childhood” aesthetic. Of course no one wants a truly blurry photo, but I thought the graininess was part of the look.

Understanding half frame

My partner and I want to get a half frame film camera for trips and I’m looking at which film rolls to buy for it. Kodak sells 36 exposure rolls. From what I’m understanding, 1 exposure equals 1 frame. So a half frame camera would yield 72 exposures/pictures from a 36 exposure roll, correct?

My other questions are:

• How do half frame pictures show developed? Does 1 print have 2 different images on it, like 1 print is equivalent to 1 frame?

• I saw something about turning the advancing wheel half a turn for half frame cameras? Is that true or is one 360° turn going to take it to the next half frame? I would hate to skip over half the film! The camera we’re looking at is the Kodak Ektar H35N if the model makes a difference.

Thank you for your input!

Rosary from roses - sealing the beads

Well I was going to ask this question in a jewelry making or gardening or roses subreddit but this niche community very conveniently exists! If anyone has made a Rosary from roses before, is there some kind of sealant you use on the beads once dried? I was thinking clear nail polish but if others have experiences with other products that work better I’d love to hear them.

The instructions I’m following say to cook your beads in the oven but in every tutorial video I’ve seen that seems to make them turn black which I don’t want. I’m hoping I can preserve the pink rosy color. But I feel some kind of clear coat is needed to maintain the shape as they’ll be handled frequently. Any recommendations?

Pardon my ignorance on the subject; I typically just get solid colors or French tips but I’m getting engaged soon so I’m looking for something fancier than usual. Are designs like this something typical salons can do well? Do I need to find a smaller practice more specialized in nail art? If you’ve gotten something like these done before, can you recommend a place/specific nail technician in Katy/west Houston? Does anyone know how much a set like this would cost? Sorry for the bombardment of questions, just have absolutely no experience in this field. Thank you!!
