About to start GEM: what’s one piece of advice you’d give your first-year self?

I’m about to start Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) this September and wanted to hear from current students or graduates.
If you could go back to the start of first year and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?

It can be about studying, managing the workload, placements, making friends, maintaining a life outside medicine, or just something you wish you’d known before starting.

For anyone currently doing Medicine/ GEM specifically/graduated: what’s the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you before you started?
And is there anything actually worth doing before starting, or am I better off enjoying these last few weeks before medicine consumes my life?
