How much do you guys pay in Rent?

I am living in a single room for the last 3 years and thinking of a change, maybe 1bk or 1bhk.

How much do you guys pay for 1bhk/1bk, and also the area where you live. Just to know if i could afford changing the room.

Has Laying off due to AI become THAT common?

I am not a tech person, but kindof tech interested person who has been enjoying vibe coding to solve the problems of my field(law), on a personal level ofcourse.

I wanted to know if laying off because of AI has become thaat common and rampant. I mean, i frequently see posts about that on this sub.

And i get laying off of entry level programmers/developers..but has AI gone thaat good that it can replace mid levels too. Or are our developers not good enough that even the mid level cannot outdo the AI(in terms kf thinking, creativity stuffs ofcourse).

Help me in my battle with RATS and COCKROACHES!

Comrades, I am losing the battle for my own single-room fortress.

My territory has two main gates, and Gate 2 opens directly to the outside world. Every monsoon, enemy RATS infantry breach the perimeter through the door gap.

Meanwhile, the local cockroach battalion has developed complete immunity to my chemical warfare. Anti-roach chalk and powders are not working at this point.

I need a war strategy:

  1. How do I fortify/seal the main gate (exterior door)?

  2. What heavy artillery works on roaches that have become immune to chalk and powder?

  3. How do I drive the rodent invaders back into the wild?

Drop your best tactical advice below. My fortress depends onit.

Hot take of the day

balen posts in his personal facebook page instead of the official PMO facebook page because his facebook is monetized and he gets money from the engagements on the posts.

Change my mind!!

Slums/Sukumbasi Basti/ghettos are not because capitalism failed to reach some people or just because capitalism failed in skme places. Slums are a necessary feature of a capitalistic mode of production. Cities REQUIRE slums for slum dwellers to do dirty and dangerous work in lowest of wages...in the wage that the workers cant even afford rent.

Adding more: Balen demolishing these structures wont FIX anything. maybe they will be relocated to some distant places. but then that will increase their cost of living, which will increase the cost of living in the city of every people. So, either the middle class should be willing to pay more so the slum dwellers can live a better life, or they should be kept in the place where they are not very visible so that their fundamental rights can easily be curtailed(like they do in west asian, gulf countries). and the "beautification" of the city is yet another landmafia-pleasing project. Balen is making things worse. maybe he has good intentions. but things are gonna get wayyy worse, if this mania continues.

Change my mind.
