Best dock extension & blur?

Hello, I wanted to ask the community what dock I should be using to achieve my desired look & workflow.

Context:

I normally would be using Dash to Dock & Blur my shell, but if I don't disable the dock blur there's a memory leak with blur my shell & the journal's get spammed with "can't update views".

For the longest time I would disable the blur for the dock & install user themes extension then use the yaru-theme from the Fedora repos.

Well doing this has been causing hard gnome crashes, so I cannot use the yaru theme / user themes.

I don't like the way Dash to Dock looks, yes I know I can recolor it but none of the colors look right and I can't get a good amount of transparency where it doesn't feel like too much or too little.

I really liked how the Yaru theme recolored it but yeah.. the crashes.

I'm not trying to be picky but I am extremely obsessive with how I make my desktop look and if there's any suggestions that can help me find what I am looking for it would be greatly appreciated.

I did try dash to dock animated as well, but the bottom of the dock was cut off my screen but hopefully that was user error.

Dash to panel is not what I am looking for either, I want my top bar & dock to intelligently auto hide and appear as I need it like dash to dock can.

Hello! I am trying to find doctor who! HBO max used to have it, but I read they dropped it in 2025. Then I read that Disney plus obtained Doctor who but now they dropped it too apparently. The problem with these streaming services is I need to pay for them to even find out what they have in regards of shows, and I don't want to pay for something if it doesn't have what I want. If anyone can help me figure out where I can find the 2005 series with the 13 seasons that would be great!

Thank you!

Hey everyone! I been using proton experimental for all of my games, and its been pretty great aside from a few games having issues on occasion. My question is mostly about proton GE, I googled and read it has some custom patches and is more of a bleeding edge but I'd rather ask people than an AI what they think about the proton.

Does it perform better or add other features?

I also get random crashes on stalker 2. journalctl -r shows error:

amdgpu 0000:2d:00.0: amdgpu: ring gfx_0.0.0 timeout, signaled seq=1491924, emitted seq=1491926

Would this be proton? or driver / kernel related. (I am on gnome 50 kernel 6.19 fedora).

Hello! I am somewhat experienced with arch and reading the wiki but it’s been a while since I hopped on the wagon.

Obviously KDE is a solid choice but I just like gnome. The way it looks and functions is pleasing.

However last time I used it I was switching from 48 to 49 where they removed most of x11 support so I think that major shift is what made it rough for me.

But I wanted to ask; is gnome 50 pretty solid now that it’s only Wayland?

I’ve got an Arch itch I need to scratch so lmk!
