How to teach nice play

Hi all. I have an 8 month old, male, neutered kitten. We play at least 3x a day for 15 minutes each and one session is before bed. I've had him since 4 months old. I have never had a cat before but have tried to do research and such to raise him right. I feel like I'm failing as a cat mom because he doesn't like to be pet unless we are calm and on my bed. He will bite if he even sees someone reaching to pet him. I try and mess with his ears, mouth, paws, etc. so he gets used to it, and he's good with most except his paws being touched. Again, he bites hard and has nails out. I want to raise him to know this hurts, and to be nice but I don't know how. I can't get another cat at this moment, but I'm hoping in the next year or two.

TLDR: Kitten bites and claws when touched, how to teach that this is not okay behavior?

Is something wrong with my cat?

I have a male, about 8 months old, neutered, DSH kitten. I've had him since about 4 months old and whenever we play he starts panting and will lay on his side for 10 or so seconds and then play again. Sometimes he will pant when playing even if he's not running around crazy. I'm not sure if it's normal for cats to pant. Also his gums seem pale but they don't seem to get any pinker.

When he got neutered 2 months ago, his checkup went great and I did mention the panting so the doctor said if other symptoms occur then an echo might be necessary. It's hard to tell if the panting and lying down often are abnormal or getting worse so I am just keeping a close eye.

I am just worried about a heart condition, but am wondering if this behavior is actually normal for cats as I've never owned one. I have a video but not sure how to attach it. Thank you!
