does anyone else feel like this?

I don’t really know how to describe it, but does anyone ever feel like they’re disconnected from their family and culture? For some background info, I’m Canadian and I was born there but my parents are Lebanese then my siblings were born in Saudi Arabia. I can speak Arabic a tiny bit, but I understand it more. I’m currently visiting Lebanon with my mom and dad, and just whenever we’re with family I don’t really feel like I understand them. Not mostly in a way because of language, but in a way we’re not connected like family is. When they come over, I’m happy to say hi and I sit with them, but just in silence. I don’t feel like I ‘know’ these people. I can’t speak with them and I can’t relate to them so how can we connect like family? Back at home, we used to live in an area with some POC, but then my parents moved me to an all-white school so there wouldn’t be any ‘problems.’ I don’t really have any friends who understand my perspectives or anything about my culture. I know it’s on me to do things like pray and fast during Ramadan, but I just never have the motivation to do so knowing I don’t understand the point behind it. I know it’s not my parents fault but I wish they pushed me more to learn these things 😭

This is ur sign to take english online

if anyone’s looking for a sign to take english online, i say do it! this is my first online course and i went in expecting this to be hard, but it was literally the opposite of that. the material is straight forward and idk if it’s just my teacher, but she was so easy with marking. im someone who id say is good at English, i just have trouble focusing in a classroom environment. being able to work at my own pace was amazing and if ur someone who struggles w the same thing, take online
