First time in over a year

A bit over a year ago, a very hard toe stub damaged the big toe of my tight foot, separating the nail from the bed nearly 3/4 of the way down. As a result, i didn’t think it would be a good idea to polish them until it was completely healed. Every time i looked at my feet, i got low-key depressed.

Finally, a couple of weeks ago, it was time. I made an appointment with my local salon, and here’s how they turned out… (Polish: Daisy Hazelnut, 607DND)

Ever switched hands due to injury?

Darts was a huge part of getting me through a period of depression and anxiety starting in 2013. A torn rotator cuff in my throwing shoulder has, after two years, degraded to the point where I can’t continue throwing and need surgery to repair it.

There’s no way i want to go 6-8 months without playing, so for the past month I’ve been trying to switch from my left hand to my right, practicing from 1-2 hours every day. My performance so far has been improving more quickly than I expected. (I even took a leg from a pretty solid shooter in a best of three 301 set last Thursday.)

Anyone else out there that’s been in a similar situation? If so, do you have any wisdom to impart that might help me speed my game’s progression, or tactical advice that might improve the consistency of my scores?

I don’t expect to quickly become as good with my off hand, i just want to keep playing with my teams without being an albatross bringing them down.
