Dayton Audio CS1200 home theatre sub for my car?

It's hard/expensive to find sub enclosures tuned to below 30hz, meanwhile Dayton Audio sells a 12" home theater sub that goes down to 26hz for under $250. Is there any reason I can't just buy that, rip out the stock amp, and replace it with a similarly-powered car sub amp and use that in my car?

Things to also have done while getting a new roof?

Our roof is 26 years old and was recently hail-damaged, so we're getting a new roof this year. We're taking this opportunity to remove an old satellite dish a previous owner installed. Are there any other such modifications we should consider doing or undoing while we're having a new roof installed?

GameSir G8+ MFi, yay or nay?

I want to start playing some emulated games on my phone, and as someone who only just started shopping around an hour ago, the GameSir G8+ MFi seems like a great phone controller. Wired connection, passthrough audio and charging. I wish it came in black, but it seems like only the non-MFi 8+ does, and that's wireless with no passthrough charging, so no thanks.

The G8 non-plus also does wired and passthrough, the only feature it lacks compared to the MFi seems to be rumble. I don't particularly care about rumble, but it looks like they're the same price, so I may as well get the one with more features for the same money.

Is there any reason I should avoid the GameSir G8s or anything? Or are they a solid purchase?

New roof: Keep old satellite dish?

We bought this house about four years ago, came with a satellite dish on the roof, we don't use it, no idea how new or old it is. Our roof is both 26 years old and damaged by a recent hail storm, so we're getting a new roof this year.

Should we bother with having the satellite dish and its mount etc reinstalled, or just take it all down? We may move and sell the house in the next couple years, but anyone living here would also have access to cable TV and gigabit fiber internet for their TV watching.

Peace adding invisible -10db preamp?

Here's a screenshot of my current configuration:

https://preview.redd.it/vxptego7ud0h1.png?width=829&format=png&auto=webp&s=c89171b0974d3cf58f0b83a65bc956149806d196

As you can see, it's all zeroes, so on or off, it should be having no effect. However, when I turn it on, it drops the loudness like there's a -10db preamp, even though there visibly isn't. Does anybody know why this is happening?

UPDATE - Solved after finding this post https://www.reddit.com/r/oratory1990/comments/1ne3f2z/peace_eq_lowering_volume/

There was an "always active" EQ running for some reason. I'd love to know how long ago I accidentally did that

▲ 1 r/IKEA

Welp, my Stralande rotary cheese grater broke again. Not really a complaint, I've been using them for so many years and they seem to last about 5 years before breaking, which is more than long enough considering the cost.

Unfortunately, it seems like Ikea is still the only manufacturer making a rotary cheese grater I like, and I noticed they don't have a Stralande grater anymore, but they do have a seemingly identical Uppfylld grater instead.

Are there any differences between the old Stralande rotary grater and the current Uppfylld one, or was it just a name change?

Thanks!

It's my understanding that when something happens to drag on the floor of the ocean, for instance, an anchor or mooring, the cable can be disrupted, and even be severed, which halts the transmission across it. Furthermore, there is no way to repair the break.
