New to Maastricht: looking for nerdy, creative & adventurous communities
Hi everyone!
I’m 21, originally from India, and starting my Master’s in Data Science this fall, and I’ll be arriving in Maastricht on 25 August. Sadly, that means I’m missing most of Inkom.
I’ve heard that Inkom is where a lot of people make their first friends, and those groups sometimes stick together throughout the year. So naturally, I’m arriving late and immediately overthinking it.
I’d love to meet new people and get involved in fun communities or just random activities where it’s easy to meet people. Studim Generale seems intresting. UM website has listed student organizations in Maastricht but I think some of these are outdated.
I’ll be living around De Heeg (Reijckenborg), but I’m happy to travel anywhere in Maastricht.
So, where should a late-arriving student go to find their people?
I would love anything slightly unusual, nerdy, creative, adventurous, or just plain fun. 😄
