Glad someone is finally pushing against the "save the arboretum" disinformation posters

For weeks I've been seeing these posters all over Rosi about "save the arboretum" but when you look into it its just some disingenuous NIMBY bs. The arboretum is at not risk by anyone, no new developments are going to cause any shading issues there, its all bs. So its good to see some counter posters going up.

Neighbor's gorgeous lawn free yard

I have been admiring this neighbor's landscaping for a while. It is especially impressive because the previous owner had artificial grass here. I live in New England.

Underground Gardens in hot Fresno, CA

This magical hidden gem reset my brain chemistry in 2005 when my boyfriend discovered it and brought me here on a date. I came back for a visit in 2026 with my child. The Forestiere Underground Gardens were built by a single artisan named Baldassare Forestiere over a 40 year period. He had no extra money after buying 80 acres of hardpan land that he had hoped to farm. The soil was not good for farming so he instead dug a root cellar/wine cave to store food and keep himself cooler in the dry hot summer. His experience working on the early Subway in Boston gave him the skills to create an entire home and garden underground. He installed large openings and courtyards that bring in light and allowed him to plant fruit trees below ground level of which some still survive and bear fruit.
