Amex sends me 80k points in error
Long story short I opened an Amex Gold card knowing I had a big purchase coming up. The total came to $8064, meaning I hit the 80k sign up bonus immediately. When I opened my app I noticed double the amount of Amex points I was originally quoted. I hop on chat support out of curiosity to see how I managed to double my original offer and I come to find out it was a system error in my favor. Never even heard of something like this happening to anyone else
tldr looked a gift horse in the mouth
Edit: I opened a support request to take their points back. I don’t want them
