Thoughts on Arkansas Stones for fixed angle? They seem pretty affordable and offer a pretty nice bang (all the way up to the finest stones can be had for $20-$40) I'm looking at getting 3 or so stones and thinking about getting a 240 or 320 AO hapstone and then Arkansas med/fine and translucent

2 quick questions about leather stropping... Before going to a .5 micron compound do I need to first use a 1 or 1.5 micron compound or can I go straight from the stone to .5? Also how do I clean my strop? how often do I clean it?

Sick of the Work Sharp PA.. After 5 years of use I'm ready for a better sharpening system.. The PA falls short in several areas.. Harder steels, blades over 4", blades over 1/8" thick and curved points like the Para 3 or Demko(clip points especially).. My budget is around $300.. What do u recommend?

I hope this doesn't come across as drama baiting or anti-police because that's not my intention at all.. I'm genuinely curious from a professional/human perspective..

Have any of you ever worked with another officer who gave you a really bad feeling.. whether it was because they seemed mentally unstable, had mentioned past gang affiliation or drug use, was overly aggressive, reckless, or just generally unpredictable? Not somebody you simply dislike or was still green .. but someone who honestly made you uneasy to be around or made you nervous about what they might do in a bad situation..

I'm interested in how departments handle situations like that, and whether fellow officers usually pick up on those warning signs early. Obviously no names or identifying details..

I'd especially be interested in hearing how common or uncommon this actually is in real life compared to how it's portrayed in movies/TV
