Possible hazard?

I accidentally dropped my new scales in toxic chemicals while saving a pedestrian from oncoming traffic. Everyone is okay except for one kid who tragically lost his eye sight.

Carhartt “Knife Roll” for my Spydies, etc.

Looking for an effective storage/transport option for a bunch of folders? Stumbled on this last night - about $25 on Amazon, and also waterproof. I’m about to order a second one.

First attempt at dyeing scales.

Turned out better than I expected and only destroyed one pot. Not too bad

NKD: Stretch 2 K390

I was umm-ing and aah-ing about which knife to get next. I knew that I wanted a K390 blade, but wasn’t sure what model.

I considered the Dragonfly to meet the hypothetical need of travelling to a place which allows locking blades of up to 2.5 inches. I discounted the Delica because I like finger choils.

Any locking blade will not be carried regularly, as I live in the UK and have a Magnacut UKPK that is both legal to carry and has sentimental value.

I was looking at an online knife store yesterday afternoon, and stumbled on the Stretch 2. The model wasn’t on my radar, but I bought it on impulse.

I came home from work this evening to a package containing the Stretch 2. I like it, so far. Nice heft, although the blade length is a bit larger than what I am used to. I think it could work well as a camping knife to replace my Mora Classic Number 1, which has served me well over the past few years. I’ll be going camping in a few weeks, so I’ll try it out properly then.

As impulse buys go, I’m rather pleased with it, especially as the website shows that they are now out of stock again.

Does anyone make scales without a lanyard hole?

Most of my knives will never get a lanyard, and I deem them both ugly and mostly unneeded.

Does anyone make PM2, Kapara, delica, or endura scales without the (worthless to me) lanyard hole? (Ideally also only drilled for right hand tip up carry. 4 position screw holes are fugly)

K390 leaf jumper

Is there going to be any more drops for the k390 leaf jumper plane edge or are they fully discontinued?

Weird request but can someone upload a picture of their native 5 next to a ruler in metric unit measuring blade length starting from the finger choil.

This is a lil native that I have. Would very appreciate it if someone gave me a picture of themselves doing the same with any native 5 model.

15V vs K390?

K390 has been a favorite steel for a bit now. It will take everything I throw at it and ask for more. And even living in a very humid state, corrosion hasn't been a huge issue on tool steels.

With that being said, the more I use 15V, the more it grows on me. Starting to become a staple in my rotation. It takes a really cool patina much like K390. Doesn't seem to be quite as tough, but it certainly holds a "working" edge for a ridiculous amount of time.

What say you?
