Nkd I like the funk.
I don't know why I'm so drawn to the funky ones so much. But with the recent sale I couldn't resist.
Now i own 2 of the more funky spyderco knives I've seen. I'm sure there are more I don't know I need.

I swapped the slightly to small factory bracelet to rubber fkm from straphabit. I'm not really loving the strap so I'll be looking to upgrade soon. The specs on the normal length showed to be to small. So I got the xl and it's too long. But the main thing is I can get some wrist time with it.
First time ever taking apart any of my knives. Man what a pain in the rear end. I fought with the blade stop, then the pivot. Trying to tune it was not going great. Dropped pretty much every screw and needed a flashlight to find them. But with a YouTube video and perseverance I got it done. I really hope it's just the axis lock that made it more difficult. I want to change up some of my spyderco knives. The compression lock has to be easier, right?
Was pretty stiff out of the box. Carried it for about 2 weeks and spent a lot of time opening and closing it while I was waxing tv. It just never really loosened up. Took it apart today and cleaned it. Then used a little gunnie slide i had and resembled. So much better now. When I got the lock the blade will drop about half way now. Before it would hardly drop all. I did try loosening the scale screws and pivot screw before total disassembly. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out
New to spyderco but not new to knives. It all started a few years ago when I was able to score a techno 2 Krein regrind.
Then recently I decided to pick up a native salt 5 lw. Then pretty much a few days later I was offered a sage 5 at a good price and couldn't resist. Needless to say, I find myself looking at all the wts ads for my next one. I have to say though being a lefty I much prefer the compression lock and back lock. I find myself moving away from frame locks these days.
