Do you always have to pay the full preorder cost before release date, in order to get the 5% off (from PRO)?

After I placed a few preorders, I was told by an employee that it would be good to pay the whole amount instead of just the deposit (50% of the cost) sometime before the release date/pick-up day because the 5% discount (from PRO membership) can only be given before the release date/pick-up day.

This is my first time doing something like this, so I don't understand? I was planning to pay the remaining balance on pick-up day, so I can get the 5% off PRO before I pay the final payment, but the employee says I will lose the 5% discount if I do that.

Apparently, I have to pay in full first before release date without PRO membership discount applied. Then, on release date, I can pick it up along with a refund of the 5% that I didn't receive? Is that how it is? Why it is so complicated?

Is it that bad to be unemployed at 30?

I'm 30F, a homeowner, and happily married with no kids. Our household is just my husband and I.

I know I'm incredibly privileged to be in this situation, being financially stable and unemployed. This is all thanks to my husband as he earns the household income.

It wasn't always like this. I used to work in my 20's up until last year when I got laid off (due to gov cuts). When that happened, my husband and I reviewed our finances and realized that I didn't need to get a job since he can financially support both of us.

So, I started taking care of all the house chores (e.g. cooking, cleaning, maintaining, fixing, shopping, gardening, mowing etc.) and planning (e.g. for budgets, finances, errands, vacations etc.) while my husband worked full-time. This actually saved quite some money since we used to eat out alot and hire cleaners/contractors to take care of the house when we both worked. More importantly, we're both happy with this dynamic and this works out for us.

However, when my husband and I go out to socialize with relatives and friends, and they find out that I'm a housewife now, we're often met with disgust?

I don't think it's that intense of a word, but I'm having trouble describing that feeling they have. It's like they think I'm wasting my life. For example, they say comments like, "You just stay home all day?", "Don't you feel like you're missing out on a purpose or something like having a job?", and "So when are you gonna get a job? You must be bored."

Honestly, it's annoying to feel like my self-worth is dependent on a career. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my last job, but that's not all my life amounts to. I tell them that I have hobbies: reading, gaming, singing, playing piano, cooking, gardening, and spending time with my husband. But they look at me like that's weird, like you're not living life until you have a job.

Is it just me? Or are people THAT enamored with their jobs? Is it really so bad to be unemployed at 30?

EDIT: After reading your comments, I just wanted to clarify that my husband's income isn't our only source. We have emergency funds, savings accounts, stock and retirement investments, life insurance, and some real estate/land. I don't even wanna count the inheritance from my parents because honestly, I don't think we'll need it. The only thing I know I'm missing out on is a 401k (as far as I know), but my husband still has his.

If something were to happen with my husband's income, I'll gladly step up and get any job. Nothing is beneath me. Although, in the past, I have been able to secure jobs in the medical field, despite having a 2 year gap. I know I'm still capable and not completely financially dependent.
