Looking for a lost male acoustic mashup of Childish Gambino's Telegraph Ave and Sober (2014–2016)
Hi everyone,
I've been trying to find a YouTube cover that seems to have completely disappeared from the internet.
Here's everything I remember:
It was uploaded sometime around 2014–2016.
It was a male singer (not Childish Gambino).
The song was an acoustic cover/mashup of Telegraph Ave and Sober (I believe) by Childish Gambino.
It definitely included the "In Oakland, in Oakland..." sections from Telegraph Ave.
I am not sure anymore if the other song in the mashup was Sober because I've listened to Daniela Andrade's version so many times.
It wasn't a live performance. The YouTube video had only a static image.
The uploader was not the artist. It was a music promotion/curation channel that accepted submissions from smaller artists.
The channel mainly promoted hip-hop / R&B.
The singer's voice was completely different from Childish Gambino's.
The arrangement mixed acoustic guitar with rap/R&B vocals.
I've already checked the obvious versions (including Daniela Andrade's cover), but it's not that one.
I'm starting to think the original upload was removed years ago due to copyright or because the artist deleted it.
Does anyone remember this cover, know who the artist was, or perhaps even have a copy saved?
The channel was not very big. But this version helped me through some tough times in high school and I would like to try to find it again.
Any lead would be hugely appreciated. This has been driving me crazy for years!
