Someone asked for a video so here’s a couple. You can’t hear the bang in the first one, I think he did it so fast the camera couldn’t register fast enough. These times are definitely not the worst he’s done it.
My dobie Maverick just turned 1 last month and I thought he’d grow out of this but he hasn’t yet so I need some advice. (Pic attached of him in action, all 4 paws off the ground)
When he goes outside to potty he stays out there and plays for a little bit, we have 5 acres (he only has access to about 2.5) and he genuinely enjoys being out there. Our issue is when he wants to come inside, he jumps as high as he can and slams on the door as hard as he can. We have a glass door and then our regular front door, so when he hits the glass door it’s super loud and I say he is “swat teaming” us because he uses a lot of force and I really don’t want him to break the door or get hurt. And of course it’s annoying as shit 😂 how can I get him to stand nicely at the door and wait? I don’t care if he barks at us to let him in or even just hit it with his paw, but not slam. We’ve never forced him to stay out there for longer than he wants to, so it’s not like he’s doing it for attention because I’m not listening to him. He also doesn’t wait and then do it, he does it as soon as he gets on the porch. If you have any advice please help!
My family has an unspoken “tradition” to name a daughter after their father. My grandma is named after her dad, my mom after her dad, and me after my dad. Basically it’s just the dads name inside the daughters name. I love being named after my dad I think it’s sweet, and everyone’s done it in a normal way, no one has just came up with their own name. My fiancé’s name is Chase and I’d love to keep the tradition going. But all I can think of is Chasity and IMO it’s an awful name ( sorry Chasitys)
