Three Different Views of a Subject [2026]

Three live and improvised in-studio recordings, all using the the same source material - found sounds from consumer audio cassettes - are assembled, manipulated and configured in new temporal settings. Each finds their own emergence of character and intensity as the process extends its own difference in the act of performance.

New Recordings of Live Sound Performance.

NC Ives (Nicholas Ives) is a contemporary artist from Naarm/Melbourne journeying within sound, painting, collage and performance.

These new pieces are were produced live as 'sound sculptures' - assemblages of found tape cassette exploring time, durée and sensations of limit-experiences. Approached as collage of material excess and detritus, the pieces present a collision of times and moment, past and present, which insist upon a destabilised present of forces under pressure to continually make and un-make its form

released May 1, 2026 for bandcamp friday
