Gigabyte B460M Aorus Pro dual RAM not booting after BIOS update
Motherboard: Gigabyte B460M Aorus Pro Rev 1.0
CPU: i3-10100F
RAM:
- Corsair 8GB DDR4 3600 CL18
- Aorus 8GB DDR4
Problem:
Single RAM works perfectly in both slots.
But when I install 2 RAM sticks together in A2+B2, motherboard shows DRAM red LED and boot failure.
I updated BIOS to F9a recently.
Earlier dual RAM worked fine years ago.
Tried:
- Load optimized defaults
- CMOS reset
- XMP OFF
- Manual 2400MHz
- Each RAM individually
- Both slots individually
Still dual channel fails.
Could newer BIOS memory training/compatibility be causing this?
I also tried downgrading BIOS from F9a to F4 using Q-Flash and EFI shell method.
But Q-Flash shows:
"Invalid BIOS Image"
I edited flash.nsh correctly and used the proper BIOS file:
B460MAORUSPRO.F4
Still getting invalid image/rollback issue.
