How much should I be paying for motorcycle insurance?

I’m looking to buy my first motorcycle in a couple months and I’m considering a Yamaha R3, Kawasaki Ninja 500 or 650, or a Suzuki GSX-R600. I’m 17 (turning 18 on Aug. 7) and female, so I expected insurance to be a little high because of my age. I’m also scheduled to take the MSF course on Aug. 22, so hopefully that helps lower it.

I got a quote from Progressive for almost $400/month on a 650cc bike that was actually cheaper than the bikes listed above, and I’ll be financing whichever bike I get if that matters. There has to be a cheaper insurance option out there, so if anyone has advice, recommendations, or experience with beginner bike insurance please let me know!

Okay this is not entirely related to the group but when I posted in earlier today about a cbr yall gave a LOT of feedback basically everyone telling me not to start out of a brand new bike and get something used and cheap and I did take those replies into consideration I think I may of found the best of both worlds (if it’s legit 😂) There are these Chinese brands I keep seeing somewhere that they are Chinese brands at least and they ship their bikes fully assembled and all there bikes from 250cc-450cc are under 6k but then again they come shipped and aren’t very big brands I’ve heard people prefer the CF MOTO over the venom. I do really like these they have the exact look I’m wanting at the price I’m wanting. Let me know your thoughts (kindly please) and what you know about these brands😁

I’m thinking about getting the cbr 650 with the e clutch as my first bike does anybody recommend that or have any suggestions. Also I’m debating if I should finance and buy it not or wait till I’m 18 (I’m 17) to finance it and build my credit with it and if anybody knows any cheap GOOD quality gear i should get let me know. I’m only looking at boots, a jacket, a helmet, and gloves. My state’s minimum gear requirement is saftey goggles
