Hit me with your fruit and veg recs

TLDR: I’m European and I want to try as much fruit and veg as possible in LA that are mostly unavailable in Europe.

I’m from Central Europe visiting LA for a couple of weeks with my wife. We’re lucky to have found a great sublet so I finally have access to a proper kitchen which means groceries (I can’t even think about the myriad of cuisines here that people have never even heard of back home). My wife is American, I’ve lived in the states before, I’m not a newbie. BUT I have been suffering greatly by the meagre offerings of fresh produce the supermarkets at home provide lately so I’ve been gravitating towards the fruit and veg section in stores. Cue to me realizing just how much food that I’ve never heard of you guys have access to. I always eat as much Kale as I can while in the states. On this trip so far I’ve had red bananas, pear apples, Hawaiian papaya, and a golden lady mango. I plan on getting ataulfo mangos and jicama next to try but what are other ones I should try that aren’t on my radar? Is there anything that you know isn’t really available or popular in Europe and is totally worth getting? Please tell me so I can buy and appreciate it before I return to the sad land of zucchini-broccoli-carrot rotations and selections of seven kinds of apples that all taste the same.

I looked for similar questions and didn’t really find anything so I hope this post isn’t off-topic. Thanks!

Hi, I ate about half of this cheese (except for the blue one) and a little more than half of the salami. I also had a small piece of a slice of sourdough bread and a few peanuts
Due to the fat content I thought maybe 400 but I’m unsure if I’m way off or if I should trust myself. Thank you!
