As we can see here, the 80 series cards have never been worse. A 5080 costs about twice as much as a 9070xt for potentially less performance. Even Arc fangirls can't comprehend the performance value of AMDs latest offerings.

When taken with the data provided in my last post on how good the 5800x3d really is, we can see that a PC built with a 14900k, DDR5 and a 5080 actually performs WORSE than a 5800x3d, DDR4 and a 9070xt, even though it costs roughly twice as much.

This is why the gaming industry is leaving Nvidia and Intel behind. Sony, Microsoft and Valve all are using AMD and FSR next gen. It will be the industry standard.

Intel and Nvidia will be left to people who want to play with models or dolls or something on their computers.

This is why AMD is selling it again. It's still better than anything intel has.

"If you're looking for an upgrade, I'd highly recommend going with the 5800x3d. Especially if you're just interested in gaming performance ... I honestly think you'd be crazy to do anything else, considering how fast that CPU is"
