How to sew in shorts to keep skirt from riding up?

I got this skirt that fits well but I feel like everytime I sit down it rides up in the waist and suddenly my bottom is fully exposed. I was thinking of adding some sewed in shorts or underwear to hold it in place, but I’m a very beginner sewer so have no idea where I’d even start or where I can find resources to teach me

Do all begonias look like they’re dying when you first bring them home?

I’ve tried my luck with Rex begonias twice now, both times their leaves quickly shriveled up and died off. With the first one I think it was partly my fault because I wasn’t giving it adequate light and kept in too humid of a spot so it got infested. The second one I still have but can’t tell if it’ll survive or not. I’ve had it for probably 2-3 months at this point, have kept it in a west facing window and waited to repot it until at least a month had passed so it could acclimate. By that point the leaves were already starting to die off, and now in its new pot (which is about the same size as its original plastic container it was in) they still don’t look like they’re perking back up. I have like two decent leaves left that still look alive but not very happy, and haven’t seen any new growth either. Is this normal or am I just doing something wrong with these guys?

I think a snakefly just laid eggs inside my laptop???

I was just sitting outside doing work on my laptop and noticed a snakefly chilling at the top corner of the screen, it’s ovipositor was (for lack of a better term) penetrating a seemingly microscopic gap where the cover of the laptop connects to the screen. I couldn’t see any visible opening there, but her ovipositor was very clearly finding a way in. Now I’m paranoid that at some point there will be larvae crawling out of my laptop

Realizing so late in life that I have chronic pain makes me feel like a poser

I grew up in a household that dodged diagnoses like the plague, so as a 23 year old with the ability to find my own medical support I’m starting to learn a lot about myself and my health. I’m getting a LOT of diagnoses at once because I went so long without “collecting” them as I grew up lol, and realizing things that I’ve lived with this whole time without ever questioning them makes me feel like a fraud for saying I have them now. On one hand getting a diagnosis feels like I have the freedom to vent about my struggles because I know it’s not just in my head, but on the other hand since I went so long not opening up about any of those struggles, to suddenly open up about all of it now just makes me feel like I’m coming off as an attention seeker that is being over dramatic about something that others might be struggling even worse with. I don’t even feel like I can mention when I’m in pain around others who also have chronic pain but have a more severe kind of pain (for example, by pain stems from scoliosis so a lot of daily but dull pain unless there’s a flare up, but my partner has fibromyalgia which I know is more of a painful experience on a regular basis), because I don’t want them to think I don’t understand the level of discomfort they’re experiencing

How do you keep your drive or ambition when it feels like the world is ending around you?

I’m 23, live at home in the United States, employed but for a job that has nothing to do with my desired career (I have a BS in biology also) because the job market is so terrible. I keep trying to keep my hopes up and actively make goals for my future, but it feels so hard to feel enthusiastic or even believe I have a future worth working towards when everyday it feels like the world is coming to an end. I can’t even go online anymore without seeing a headline about some new horror. It feels like my home (my country) will stop at nothing to make sure I can’t achieve my dreams. How do I keep my resilience in working towards those dreams when I feel defeated by something going wrong everyday? I want to have a job that I feel fulfilled in, that I’m qualified for, that pays enough for me to live on my own, and preferably give me an opportunity to finally get out of my home town. But those dreams feel less and less realistic or achievable as time goes by.
