Sorry to be harsh, but there is no 'cure' for KPRF :(

I saw a post the other day about this website that claims to cure kprf permanently called 'The Baseline Method - I Fixed My Red Face' (link🔗: https://ifixedmyredface.com) and its where this guy named Rubén claims that if you pay $50 USD that you will receive a bunch of stuff that will permanently banish your red cheeks and you will just never show any symptoms of rubra faceii again, and there's even a bunch of scrolling before and after pics of people from not just the States but people from countries all over Europe and even the Middle East that are buying into this scam and all have severe kprf in the before pics but in the after pics taken like 6-8 weeks later, their redness is completely gone.

Does anyone else think this is a literal scam that's not actually going to work? because this seems more than suspicious and really I feel like most of the tips and stuff that's suggested on this sub works for most people already 😭😭😭

EDIT: okay, wtf, this guy keeps creating new intros for this page and they're all about how kprf will always get worse with time and it's always a threat to skin and vascular health, when I know that isn't true because I've had mild kp my whole life and honestly the only symptoms of me having kprf are the rosiness on my cheeks and the bumps on my arms and the fact I get flush easily 😒😒😒 this guy is totes a scammer 😂😂🤣🤣

Edit 2: this guy literally says, "every flare bursts more blood vessels — more burst vessels means more blood, and more blood means more red", so one, how does that create more blood than your body already produces?, and two, ppl with kprf don't have have broken blood vessels like those with rosacea, that literally does not make sense

What are you guys' hair/ like?

I'm just wondering this because I know a lot of us deal with sparse brows/brow hair loss because of UO, and a lot of the men on here have trouble growing facial hair because of hair follicles being blocked by excess keratin. But weirdly enough, I've also heard a lot of people who have kprf or just kp in general tend to have fast growing hair and nails that are quite healthy and strong because of this higher-than-normal keratin production. I myself can certainly say that because I've always had nice, long natural nails even when I don't get manis/fake nails. My hair has always been super thick and fast growing, until maybe a year ago when I bleached platinum blonde streaks into my hair, which has been causing breakage, even with proper hair care, leading to my hair growing a lot slower as result. My younger brother has kprf as well, and his hair grows faster than he can cut it, as well as his nails often being long and sharp (I know because he's scratched me before with them, and it was so bad that it bled profusely). What are you guys' hair and nails like?

TYPO: I meant to say Hair/Nails 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ mb pls don't be weirded out it was my bad

Confession: I honestly didn't know that having redness in my face was a 'bad' or 'unhealthy' thing until I found out what rosacea was

So just a story, but I guess this is how I started feeling bad about my red complexion (possible mild rosacea, but never actually diagnosed) when I figured out what rosacea was.

When I was little, I had always been complemented for having rosy cheeks. And I often saw the same compliments being said to other kids who had red cheeks as well, so I never minded it. It was never something that seemed like people were getting bullied for, red faces tended to be associated with jolly figures like Santa Claus, and flushing/blushing tended to be associated with romance and endearment.

But last year, when I was in 8th grade, I started hearing about rosacea, and I feel like things just started getting worse from then on, including my own face. I started blushing and flushing more easily, and whenever I went out in the sun, my whole face would turn red like a tomato. I started feeling bad when I looked at my childhood pictures of myself with the red cheeks, and feeling like it made me ugly. and then as soon as freshman year started, I started feeling hot and flushed for hours at a time, but no actual stinging or burning (maybe it's rosacea flaring, but I could have just been fetting hot easier because I had gained a looooooot of weight in the last year and I feel like that's related somehow 😅😅😅). And on a seperate note, I feel like I've seen people getting rude comments (and getting them myself, sometimes even by MY OWN PARENTS) on why they're red ever since I've learned shat rosacea is and I feel super weird about it now.

Like, basically, before I knew what rosacea was, red cheeks were only ever talked about positively, even among adults, but now that I know what rosacea is, redness is always talked about like it's a problem. Is it just me, or does anyone else on here feel like this at all?

How many of you are actually diagnosed with kp?

I ask this because I've heard so many stories about being misdiagnosed with rosacea and thus getting the wrong treatment and lasers that won't really help at all. Or those of you who the derm literally tells you not to worry about it and just say it's due to something like high blood pressure 🙄 . So how many of you are actually diagnosed with kprf lol 🤣🤣🤣 definitely NOT me lol, my derm just told me it was due to being pale and translucent, and told me it was just my skin... yea right, tell me that when my cheeks burn just from moisturizing it wrong 😂😂😂😭😭😭

What do you think about seeing red cheeks on Other People?

So if you've seen my other posts here, I'm not really sure if I have rosacea or not, but last time I went to my dermatologist, she said it was nothing to worry about (but maybe that's because I'm only 15, and she'd think I was 'too young' to have rosacea). And now that I think about it, I have kp on my arms, so it could POSSIBLY be kprf. I'm still feeling down about the red cheeks though, becausd of all the stuff I hear about it being painful, unhealthy, and unattractive, and redness-free skin being more attractive and healthy-looking. Anyway, the question I have is, what do other people with rosacea/redness think about the red cheeks/face on other people? I know it really sucks to have yourself because I've felt so bad about my red cheeks that I've cried (I know its stupid, but its how ugly I feel about it sometimes) sometimes about it. I've heard other people in real life say they don't care, and that they don't notice if on me, and that they don't think anything negative about it. So what do you guys think if you see someone else with redness?

I feel a little stupid for posting this, and I know I might get downvoted for it, since I did sort of make another post a couple of weeks ago asking the same thing, but I still kimd of feel like I do have rosacea and I've been misdiagnosed. so basically, I'm 15 and I've always had 'rosy' cheeks and blushed quite easily. My dermatologist says I don't have rosacea and it's just my natural complexion, but everytime I see skincare articles on the internet I see beauty editors with rosy cheeks just like mine and they say they have type 1 rosacea and they can get lasers, medications, and creams for it and it actually improves for them. And I've went on rosacea boards here even that people post pictures with skin that looks like mine. And whenever I search up anything about red cheeks or blushing/flushing, almost certainly I will see multiple articles about rosacea and every resource I read seems to unanimously agree that red cheeks = rosacea. I NEVER see ANYTHING that says people can have rosy cheeks without rosacea or another condition. So basically, I feel like I have rosacea even though my derm says I have perfectly healthy skin. I KNOW the internet is bad at diagnosing things! but when every result says that what my skin looks like is indeed caused by rosacea on my cheeks, I start to feel like I've been misdiagnosed. just for context, I have redness all over my cheeks, no bumps or pustules, just the occasional spot because I'm a teenager, never burns or stings, but after I've been out in the cold or I excercise or get really embarassed it feels warm.

*title typo: I still feel kind of like I have it
