Looking for input
So my mom has dementia, she’s been declining quickly this last year (my father died suddenly Mar 2025, and he was her constant companion). She’s been in 3 facilities over the past year, but never really seems to adjust well. She was also started with hospice in April. She has started falling a lot this last month, she wants to walk but is unstable. I’ve been to the ER with her 3 times in 2 weeks, the latest was last night. The facility wants me to hire sitters for her (I agree that’s probably the best choice). But at that point why should I pay for the facility and sitters… I’m considering bringing her to my house and hiring sitters here. Please give me any advice and input to help me be sure and cover all issues that may arise. As info, my son just left to join the military for 6 yrs so we have a room. My other child is 17 and does her own thing. My husband is a nurse and can deal with her medications…. I work from home so I will still be around most of the time. I have brought up to him my concerns about our pets, we will need to brainstorm more on that… Anything that I haven’t thought of?
