Just like the title says– budget is low but for peace of mind I might be able to pick up more hours to afford something more!
So originally I was supposed to be on Wakix about 2 months ago when I was diagnosed with N1 but insurance is mean. Was talking about this with my psychiatrist and he went “oh I can just prescribe that for you they won’t say no to me” and Lo and behold they didn’t say no!
Currently I’m on provigil 100mg and honestly I only get 1 hour of feeling awake and this has been horrible for working. 4/5 hours into my shifts I get a 1/2 hour break where I either go swim or lift weights which wakes me up a bit. Then an hour after in my last 3/4 hour stretch I have the most unruly bout of sleep attacks. For an entire 1/2 hours I feel like I’m about to drop. I stand and walk for most of my shifts which has been hurting my back but the only way I actually don’t just knockout from exhaustion. I get around 6 miles of walking a shift which I guess is good because as soon as I get home I sleep for like 6 hours, wake back up and eat and maybe watch a show or movie with my boyfriend then back to sleep for work the next day.
Either way im starting for 1 week 2 pills of Wakix 4.5mg then the next 3 weeks if 17.5mg 1 pill a day. Anyone able to give me their experience with Wakix?
Also my cataplexy is partial so it just affects me in slightly inconvenient ways. It occurs almost exclusively in my hands so when I laugh I drop stuff but I’m almost immediately able to pick it back up!

Hey! The place I was going to live in for the summer fell through. I was hoping to find somewhere to live for the summer. My budget is 450-600 depending on the roommate situation and I need to live somewhere with WOMEN only. Pet friendly would be cool but probably impossible! Please let me know if this is possible (it doesn’t need to be super close to campus as I have a car and am not staying for the purpose of classes!)
