Hi guys so at my school we have this system where we're supposed to submit a form before the end of junior year to 2 teachers that we want to write our rec letter. I submited the form to my english and econ teacher. I've knew my english teacher for the majority of my highschool career and I like her class so I wanted a rec letter from her + I know that her rec letter was gnna be good(one of the student that got a rec letter from her got into a bunch of t20 this year). She told me that she's gonna think about writing it which I thought meant she's just gnna write it but she want to see how I'll perform in class from then cuz I was told by my counselor to only submit 2 forms so I kinda thought it was kinda a given that she was gnna write it which is stupid in highsight now. On the last day of the school year, I slacking off in her class with my friends while she was trying to make us do analysis on a poem. She asked questions and I wasn't able to answer it which left a bad taste for her about me I think? She then told me 2 weeks later after summer start that she don't think she'll be able to write a good rec letter for me anymore so I should look for other teachers.

Another teacher I asked for is my econ teacher, I asked for her rec because I'm applying for finance/econ and I do well in her class. What happen was that she gave out a finals test where there's exactly one question on a random topic that she went over for 30 minutes. The entire grad average recieved a failing grade and we had a gc talking shit about her. I think somebody snitch on me that I was talking bad so she found out and call me to her office. She was chill about it and I explain that I had a problem with the test and not with her as a teacher. I don't think I'll trust her with writing my rec letter now tho. I'm not risking her talking bad about me in my rec letter and getting me rejected from every single uni.

I'm kinda fucked cuz all of my old teacher are transfering and I don't have contact to them anymore so I'll have to ask rec letter from the enw teacher next year. I would only know them for about 3-4 months by the time I ask them for rec letter to apply.

I have a 38/45 and 1500 on the SAT. I think have decent service/community focused extracurricular? I couldn’t find much information about international student at notre dame so I wanted to see what’s the general consensus of the student body about this is. Thanks! I can only pay 40k in both tuition and col a year btw but that wouldn’t matter since notre dame is need blind right?

My TOK exhibition recently got moderate down from 7/10 to 6/10. I've tried to ask for reasoning but all i got from my IB coordinator was that the teacher decided to moderate my score down because he felt like he was too lienient with the previous grading. I got no actual feedback on why that is. I won't go into details but my teacher has been super condescending toward me for the past 2-3 months so after getting my tok exhibition commentary grade back and knowing that he's moving school next year, I've been ragebaiting him by sending him message on gmail chat about random TOK questions at 12am-1am at night lmao. This genuinely could've played apart in me getting moderated down. What can I do in this situation? Is there a big difference between a 7/10 and 6/10 on the exhibition? From what I've researched i'll need an 8/10 on my essay to get an A in TOK either way right?
