The mini is free again
I’m not sure if this is an accident but the mini (abd midi) are no longer behind a paywall

People have been loving our mini crosswords so I've opened up submissions from our players to submit their own zine covers. THEY ARE SO COOL! Since you all liked our other designs I thought I'd share our community designs too :) 🪿🩵
Mastermind was one of my favorite games growing up so we added it to our site recently and it's gotten really popular!
If you ever played back in the day I'd love any feedback :)
My b2c startup has gained traction and we’ve become profitable but we’re not sure what to do with our extra cash
The nature of our app is that ads are extremely unprofitable because of how low our RPU is (this is mostly by choice, we want our site accessible to all). We have to do organic social media to get our users
We have extra cash in the bank and want to figure out how to grow not using ads.
The only thing we can think of is maybe getting a social media manager to help with our organic content?
It’s hard to find b2c advice so if anyone else has done consumer and has acquisition advice I’d love to hear
It’s been about a year since NYT paywalled the mini and since then our site has grown to 20K daily players. Many people found refuge at Ponder Club because we don’t paywall any of our games or archives. Ad-free is one time purchase and we don’t do subscriptions.
I appreciate how NYT Games has brought puzzles to the average person who never really cared for brain games before. I appreciate many of their puzzle writers as well but I believe high quality puzzles should be accessible to anyone without paywalls.
If you’re a free player tired of being paywalled or a paid player tired of having to deal with your subscription price changes (or STILL seeing ads!) come find refuge at Ponder Club
My friend and I make a daily puzzle game site with 20k daily players. We have no paywalls and no subscriptions. My friend makes the mini + common 3 (our connections style game) daily.
Our archives are free as well :) Let me know what you think!
My friend and I make a puzzle website so we created some zines with free crosswords to spread the word :) We've been handing them out mostly to cafes and it's fun to see how quickly they run out and ask for more!
Apparently the word that broke the most streaks in 2025 was on May 14, 2025. How'd you do that day?
