Tips For Level 4&5 Qs?

Appreciate any tips.

These questions are really pulling me down.
S3 in PT 123, all of a sudden after question 10 threw me 11 questions in a row that were advanced difficultly and broke my confidence. I usually see 5 of these increased difficult questions at the end. Threw me for a loop. Made me realize I need to increase difficulty and master it.

Incoming Post Graduate Student

New student here.

Any idea when courses usually appear on blackboard?

Also I got a parking pass, will it appear in my Avro app ahead of Sept 8? I got confirmation in my email etc but it’s not appearing in the app, assuming it will pop up sometime closer to the 8th?

The Power Of Pattern Recognition

My studies have really taken off as of lately and I’m really happy with my trajectory. We still have a few bumps in the road to smooth out however we are definitely getting somewhere now (LET HER COOK).

Anyways.

One thing I noticed is that the more questions I do, and the more drills I take, the faster and more often I can weed out wrong answers, eventually figuring out the right one when narrowed down to two (why one is right and why one is wrong and of course why the others are way off). I chalk this up to two things: 1) the power of volume 2) the power of pattern recognition.

I would never recommend volume to people just starting out learning the foundations and getting to know each question type. HOWEVER there comes a certain point where volume + meaningful review, becomes crucial in your study (atleast I think so personally). I think this volume + review thing comes in clutch when your scoring somewhere in the mid 150s score band and higher, but that’s just my personal opinion, and who tf am I, I’m nobody.

But all of this to say, I cannot stress enough that on the LSAT, the power of pattern recognition is very real.

A test that once felt impossible now has me tearing up at my desk thinking “wow I will be going to law school one day soon, let me keep cooking”, and I’m honestly grateful for that.

Keep going ❤️ don’t forget why you started.

Question

If you have a bad score on file and applications close Nov 1, but you decide to take the November LSAT, do you think that screws you over despite indication on OLSAS that your upcoming LSAT administrations are November & January?

Would love to hear insight.

Best Section So Far

I am not by any means good at this test but I have been working my ASS off lately while managing the end of my undergraduate studies ahead of Fall 2026 graduation and being a full time single Mom.

A couple weeks ago I hit my first -8 section. Today I hit my first -6.

While I still have a bit of work to do and my other sections including RC are stuck at 15 correct and vary from -11/-12 wrong, I’m very pleased to see another section where I’ve done well despite a bit of variance. I know with more review and enhanced strategy and approach I will be okay. I went from feeling like I couldn’t do this at all a couple of months ago to feeling like I can do this as long as I continue working towards it.

I’m currently stuck scoring in the low-mid 150s however I’m writing October or November (signed up for October will lock in firm Aug 27 as that’s the last day to make any changes). So I have a bit of time to improve.

I set a goal of 155 for October or November and 160 for January (planning to take again in January since I know I can do better, want to maximize my chances and in Canada - the last test admin for the 2027 application cycle is January). I’ll likely take AGAIN in June of 2027 even if it doesn’t count for the 2027 application cycle in aims to continue on the journey and get the highest score possible and finally see my LSAT journey come to an end in June of 2027.

But now I feel optimistic in thinking that if I continue to study well with meaningful review (since I’m past the fundamental stage entirely) I might be able to snag a 158 in October or November and a 160+ in January. I just know I need to keep working and I’m happy with where I am right now. I could do even better than what I expect in the fall but I like to be realistic.

So if you’re reading this and you struggle with the LSAT, please don’t give up but remember your approach, strategy and meaningful review mean so much more during this process than anything else.

I KNOW I CAN DO THIS. I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT INTO THE 160s (which makes me competitive alongside my strong CGPA and mature student status for my target schools in Canada).

The plot continues.

Yay

Love seeing all the good posts coming out lately of people doing well across sections or full pts. For those of us who started studying or studying again in winter or spring, it’s proof that all the hard work is paying off and I love to see it! But if you’re not where you want to be here’s a reminder to lock in!

TMU STATS - If Willing To Share

Hellloo Good Evening & Happy Saturday!

I was wondering for those who got an A from TMU @ The Lincoln Alexander School of Law, would you be willing to share a bit about your stats (OLSAS CGPA & LSAT), as well as if you had strong softs/mid softs and if you were K-JD or a mature student.

Since TMU doesn’t list their admissions statistics and are holistic I would love to hear more from people who got A’s now that the cycle has come to an end more or less. Optionally you can share whether you firm accepted it or went with another school.

Appreciate and thank anyone who takes the time to do this.

Ciao.

Question

I noticed that I do better at RC when I refer back to the passage to answer the questions.

This is something you’re supposed to be doing right? I noticed I’ll bomb BADLY when I try to make inferences solely from what I read and not referring back to the passage for the questions. Even when I fully understand what I read!

But then when I slow down a bit and I refer back to the passage to answer the questions it goes way better and my accuracy improves substantially.

When I do my initial read I highlight things I feel are important like viewpoints, structure, and any shifts. Then when I answer the questions I refer back to the passage. From my initial read I have a general understanding where things are so I know exactly where to refer back to and if I’m struggling or need extra confirmation, I use the search keyword function.

This is what you’re supposed to be doing right?

Sorry if I sound like an idiot. I think I found a method that’s working for me finally, and works even through hard rc passages where I have no idea wtf they’re talking about so I wanted some insight. Do other people do this lmao? Help.

Hit My First -8 on PT 145 S4 Real Conditions

We are getting somewhere, have been locked in since May steady, taking the test seriously. Haven’t even finished the core curriculum on the platform I’m using. I literally dropped to my knees in tears, it’s a big deal for me, especially since I struggled so badly in the past and had one real failed attempt at the test prior.

I know I can do this.
I’m writing October my goal is 155-158.
I’m writing again in January my goal for January is to bust into the 160s. I’m Canadian.

Progress is progress even if it’s small wins!
Oh and for context my last section 3 weeks ago was -14!

Hi baddies. Long time lurker here.

Looking for some insight from you all. To make things easier I will post questions below.

  1. has anyone ever bought blazers off Amazon?

  2. does anyone know where to buy good 2 piece blazer/pant/skirt combos that are somewhat affordable online?

  3. has anyone ever tried the halara trouser?

  4. anyone shop with shopcider?

Any answers to the questions above would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

YYYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSS

I CAN FINALLY DIAGRAM CONDITIONALS. Which means I can finally predict answer choices and see wtf is going on in conditional statements. I am SO EXCITED. I owe Ellen Cassidy my left kidney.

You have NO idea how much I’ve struggled with conditionals, and If you struggle with conditionals on the LSAT you are absolutely fucking cooked (if ykyk).

Next stop mastering assumptions.
I’m SO EXCITED.

YEAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

I used to hate RC until I understood the passage structure. Now I genuinely enjoy it and prefer drilling it over LR. Anyone else ever feel like this? I also enjoy the reading now, I’m like yeah this is interesting or tell me more. This is a huge thing for me since I struggled with RC & hated it before. I used to re read like an idiot and have successfully stopped doing that. I personally use the highlight feature but not like I used to where entire sentences would be highlighted and at the end my passage would be a colourful mess. I just need to get my timing down a bit more and I’ll be happy.

I’m currently using loophole & lr bible for LR. This will be my second attempt after doing horribly on my first one in January. I feel good this time around and I quit smoking the devils lettuce about 6 months ago and that was a game changer for me personally.

I’ll be working my ass off all summer ahead of the September test. My goal is a 158. I know that’s not a peak score but I’d like to be optimistic. Who knows maybe I’ll surpass that.

Two of my friends have had favourable outcomes with extremely low stats.

Friend 1: 3.5/ mid 14 LSAT: Osgoode waitlist
Friend 2: 3.5/ high 14 LSAT: Admitted Windsor

Both mature students, both great PS & great resumes.
Trying to keep details discrete.

Please don’t listen to anything you hear online.
