Depop Sales Dropping Suddenly

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar to me.

I began a new depop account in March selling cheap bundles of Pokemon cards, as well as some more substantially priced individual cards. From the very first day, my account had always been quite busy, I normally averaged 5-10 sales and $100-$200 a week consistently. I've shipped every single order within 24 hours, and have nearly 40 5-star reviews. I guess what I'm trying to say is that in my mind, I've been quite consistent and unproblematic in my venture.

I noticed about two weeks ago, suddenly nearly all buyer activity on my page had ceased. I'd normally get lots of likes every time I checked depop, now I am lucky to get 5 in a day (I have nearly 90 listings available). I've made maybe 3 sales in the last fortnight, despite sending offers and making multiple 48 hour discounts of 15%-20%. It's really bizarre to me because from my end, nothing has changed. My captions are the same as they always have been, I am still posting orders the next day, communicating with buyers, keeping the same pricing, etc. Even my most popular items that I've had to regularly restock are not getting attention anymore.

My listings used to be abundant at the top of certain keywords when searched while logged out, but now I can't even see my listings when searching the same words, even after lots of scrolling. Is there some reason that my listings are no longer present in the algorithm?

I can only think of 2 reasons;

  1. "Spam tags" - I have several keywords grouped into a tag section at the bottom of my caption, though they are almost all entirely relevant. It's not like someone selling a Shein top and adding "Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel" in the caption. All the additional words are related to my listings, but I have seen mixed opinions on if this can even impact visibility at all. Can anyone confirm?
  2. Batched listings - How I have been posting my listings recently has changed. Instead of doing a few every week, I have been doing large batches of 20-30 every fortnight, all at once. Is it better to drip feed them slowly? Do more recent listings, or more regular sellers receieve better exposure?

I have never been too deep into Depop selling, but it is a shame because I really enjoyed this little side hustle and I used the money from it to spend on the Pokemon hobby, so I'd really like to revive my shop! Has anyone else experienced a similar trajectory? I just don't know what I'm doing wrong now! It's like someone has just flipped a switch on my page 🥲🥲

Label Printer Recommendations

Hello!

I'm a seller who ships out my products in regular C5 and C6 envelopes. Over the last few months, I have been colour printing my labels on paper, as it made sense for me at the time, but since changing my packaging methods, I feel like switching over to a black and white thermal printer is more time and cost effective.

My current label size is 45mm x 80mm and I'm looking for a compact thermal printer that could accomodate labels of this size (though I am flexible) while still allowing me to insert my custom graphic (I will be simplifying this for clarity in the printer).

While I would prefer to edit the labels on my laptop, I am also open to anything that operates via a mobile app.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has used one of the following printers that I'm considering, or if you currently use a different one I maybe haven't come across yet!

Here's my shortlist:

- Brother QL-700
- Phomemo M110
- NIIMBOT B21
- NIIMBOT B21 Pro

Has anyone else in Moreton Bay received one of these this morning?

This morning I was really irked when my little sister showed me what someone had left this in our letterbox. I did search "G J Church Brisbane" and found two articles (one dating back to 2015) that basically state that the sender of this is known to the police and is not being prosecuted.

I just wanted to know if anyone else got these or if it was targeted as the articles I have read state he usually found specific people's addresses to send his letters to. I just assume it was just left in our mailbox like a leaflet but I'll have to ask my sister and check the cameras when I get home.

Tried to ask on my community facebook group but they've withheld my post.

Does this type of behaviour fall under freedom of speech? Especially if it’s so blatantly targeted in past cases. I can’t imagine how lonely and unemployed you have to be to spend time on this type of ”project” - if you can even call it that 🤷‍♀️
