I’m not sure if it’s coming from a shared hallway bathroom, carpet/flooring, plumbing, baseboards, or something else.
Before I contact the property manager, what’s the best way to document this and ask for remediation without getting brushed off?

I was just offered a 1BR near Masonic & Waller and need to decide whether to sign the lease today.
For anyone who lives (or has lived) in the area, what’s it like day-to-day?
I’m particularly curious about:
● Traffic noise from Masonic
● Street parking (especially evenings and weekends)
● Safety walking around at night
● Homelessness, car break-ins, or other quality-of-life issues
● Biggest pros and cons of the neighborhood
● Anything you wish you knew before moving
there
I’m also considering places in the Inner Richmond, so I’d love any comparisons between the two areas.
