Reading the harry potter books illustration edition is truly magical, cant wait for this one to come out, thank you to jim kay for illustrating the books up until now ! We will miss you , cant wait to see what levi pinfold has done with the half blood prince.

Has anyone made the handle part of a sword out of wood here ? Im planning on using a dark wood before wrapping in leather and of course the handle will be secured by the pommel and guard. I was wondering what the best way is to design it, then make it as well as what type of wood would be the most durable and less likely to crack upon holding and swinging the sword, since the wood wont be to thick the possibility of it cracking in half seems pretty high to me.
