I 21M don’t understand if the girl 21F I’m dating actually wants a relationship or not… Am I making this bigger than it is?
I [21M] have been seeing a girl [21F] since October, and we’ve been exclusive since December. We had a massive fight in December, and unfortunately it happened again in March and four days ago. We’ve sorted everything out, and now she’s always talking about how much she loves me and that she wants to spend the rest of her life with me. We’re even going on holiday to Spain together this summer. I asked her yesterday (and a few weeks ago too) to be my girlfriend; after the first time, she said, ‘We’ve just had a fight, let’s give it a bit of time to settle down.’ I waited a while and, although we had a row last Friday, afterwards it really felt as though things had settled down again and everything was fine; the fight was sorted out quite quickly too. When I asked her on Friday, she said yes at first, but then in the car she suddenly started saying that she was having second thoughts after all and that maybe we should wait, etc. That evening in bed, she said, ‘Yeah, sorry for acting like this, I just don’t know, I want to see myself the way you see me and nothing would change if we make it official right now since we’re already living like we have a relationship, let’s do it again soon and make it official then,’ but she said the same thing last time and I just don’t understand it anymore; it’s really hurting me a lot right now and I don’t think she understands how much it hurt me she tells me things like that…
