Mtn Lion In Town
My sighthound just alerted me to a mountain lion in my backyard, that I assume was after my neighbor's chickens. My girl spooked it, so I only saw it's tail end trotting off & our little deer herd trying to hide.
We're a bit southeast of Kagy Korner and it's heading north. So, if you have small dogs or outdoor kitties you might want to bring them in this evening.
I just passed a small brown Australian shepherd running loose a block north of the Peets Hill parking lot. (I was running late for a meeting and unable to stop.)

Long story, short: a lady bought this book for her kids who were studying French. She found out it wasn't French, assumed it was English and gave it to me *wrapped* as a gift for my mother (who prepped dinosaur bones). When I returned to the US and my mom unwrapped it, we discovered it was actually written in Turkish. 😂
I know we have both Turks and Azeris living in Gallatin County and that it can be difficult to find foreign language reading materials. So if anyone knows, or has, Turkic-language speaking kids (8 to 12yrs) who are interested in dinosaurs please DM me.
