For the SECOND time, Discord update failed and hosed entire installation: DIscord unlaunchable on Linux Mint via Flatpak.
folder structure after failed launch
This time I didn't even click the green arrow. I simply closed Discord and re-launched it from the start menu. There was a flicker, which immediately crashed, and subsequent attempts to launch Discord don't even cause the flicker.
I waited two days for a flatpak update to Discord, this time, and there hasn't been one. And again, I did not actually click the green arrow. I simply quit Discord and then launched it again. This is clearly a critical and on-going unfixed problem that needs immediate attention from the discord dev team, because as things stand now, every update to Discord causes a requirement for a user on Linux Mint to do a complete purge and re-install of the app even if you aren't trying to update.
I would also like to know if there is a way to unhose my own installation other than deleting the entire com.discordapp.Discord folder and reinstalling from scratch again.
