How to get better at tapstrafing and the such?

I've been practicing to get the movement basics down, and feel like i got tapstrafing (with and without looking in the direction) pretty decently... But, I see players getting much MUCH tighter turns and much more 'erratic' movements than I can do.

I can travel around the map just fine moving from cover to cover and such, but as soon as I'm in situations where both of our feet are off the ground I always get out-maneuvered by better players.

Obviously there's levels to this shit but I'm wondering what I can do to get it closer to that?

For example, I can do a 90 degree turn off a wall just fine, and I've been practicing jumping off walls in an "S" shape or "C" shape to make my movement less predictable. Well, my "S" shape is much much bigger and slower than the better players I'm facing. Generally I just notice that these guys have much less predictable movement than me and in 1v1 situations I just don't stand a chance.

How to play the map complex?

Even Crash site and Rise I really like playing eventhough most people seem to hate those but Complex I've never gotten more than like 10 kills...

I usually spawn at the very edge of the map, can't seem to get any decent movement in since all the walls and obstacles have some weird edge or curve to them and they don't connect to anything else. The floor has a bunch of shit on it so just slidehopping around is also very hard to do.

The middle lane is just a cluster fuck and I always end up in like 1v4s when pushing mid. Outer lanes are practically dead except for a grunt or two.

I spend most of my time on Complex just walking on the ground searching for enemies untill I get smacked from behind or walk into a terrible situation.

so yea

any help on navigating complex?

Looking for some inspiration for burger with caramelised onions

Hi all!

I'm trying to expand my burger range, I usually just make diner-style cheeseburgers, and last week I made some burgers with figs jam, gorgonzola and arugola.

I want to do something with caramelised onions and cheese tonight but I'm not sure what kind of sauce would compliment it, any suggestions welcome!

Affordable/ cheaper drop crotch cargos? (under 200EUR)?

Looking for something with a sillhoutte like Acronym P23Q-DS.

Exact amount and placement of pockets isn't as important to me, mostly comfy material and decent stiching. I am open for second hand stuff too.

Met a blue belt that competes and wins in brown and blackbelt division. Why is he still at blue?

I wanted to ask him but I had to leave before I got the chance, so now I'm asking y'all.

Why doesn't his coach just promote him to a higher belt? Only reason I can imagine is if he's trying for worlds or something.
I guess this doesn't count as sandbagging since he doesn't compete in blue?

IDK really what to make of it but it made me curious,

cheers

Yesterday I had the humbling experience of no-gi sparring a pretty high-level judoka. Usually, because I come from a judo background myself (just far less experience than this guy) I play an overhook game because it allows for a lot of hip throws. However, this felt completely futile. He just kept yanking my shoulder up which forced me to stand up straight and negated all shoulder pressure for my side, turning my overhook into a shallow whizzer.

So I decided to try some lower body takedowns via underhooks, however his over hooks felt so strong that I could never even punch my underhooks in deep enough. He took me down by just pressuring my shoulder to the mat.

I also noticed that while I was fighting this battle I constantly gave up a lot of hip positioning. He feinted a couple of times to let me know he could send me flying, he was nice enough not to.

I asked him about it afterwards and he did briefly explained "with an underhook, you pull up, and with an overhook you punch down to control their posture."
I know this though, this is pretty basic knowledge I guess, but I just couldn't for the life of me pull it off with this guy.

So my question is what 'smaller' battles (concepts/ techniques) win the exchange between the overhook and underhook?

I have an hour/ week mat time, luckily with really good trainings partners, and I have time at home to study and to do short S&C work. But, it feels futile because I simply can't get enough technique reps in to really progress.

Apart from S&C, what can I do to make the most out of this situation?

My general conditioning is fine but I just notice that my technique is getting slow and clumsy.

I'm quite down in the dumps to be honest, I was finally getting out of shitty whitebelt territory and feeling good about my progress, but now with the lack of training I'm already getting rusty and noticing guys that I used to go toe-to-toe with surpassing me.
