Is really necessary to send a closure?

Hey M25 here, so I’m dealing with a bit of a situation here. I was in a 4-year relationship with a girl. We spent the first 3 years together in person, and the last year was long-distance (LDR). Unfortunately, during that LDR phase, we ended up breaking up.

Those first 3 years together were amazing and filled with beautiful moments. But that last year of LDR brought up a lot of issues that fractured the relationship. One of the main reasons was that I was still unemployed, and she just couldn't handle the distance. Our communication was also a mess at the time, which eventually led to the breakup.

It's been 4 months since we last talked, and honestly, I still feel like there's something unresolved or stuck inside me. I keep thinking about it almost every day, wondering if it's because we never got any real closure. The relationship didn't end on good terms; it ended in a huge fight.

That's why I keep debating whether I should reach out to give her closure—just to say thank you and apologize for everything that happened. Is this something I need to do? Should I send her a message or not? Honestly, I don't want to cause any more problems or bother her. I just want to say a proper goodbye so there's no bad blood between us. Is reaching out for closure a good idea, or should I just let it go?

TL;DR: Dated for 4 years (3 in-person, 1 LDR). Broke up 4 months ago because I was jobless, our communication sucked, and she hated the distance. It ended in a messy fight. I still feel guilty and stuck. Should I reach out to apologize and get closure, or just leave it be?
