I planted a couple hot peppers in ground from seed this year, and I was wondering if anyone has had any success digging them up to over-winter in pots. My dad had 2 over-wintered Reapers die this year and he wants some of mine once the cold comes, but I am afraid trying to dig them up will kill them.
I recently found 2 mature Red Mulberries out in the back pasture - my dad knew of them apparently and said they'd never produced any fruit. I looked close and could not see any male or female identifying traits, but I can only assume since they've never fruited, they're male but I would not know how to confirm. I'm in central Arkansas and google says that I should be able to see the male catkins right now. Any other way to differentiate male or female?
