Game Recommendations for my 60 year old dad
My dad used to be a big fan of doom in the late ninety's and halo in the early 2000s, and I got my start in gaming playing Halo Reach with him before he eventually quit around Halo 4. Years later he wants to play games again but the current gaming landscape is far too sweaty for him. So to give y'all an idea he basically remembers aim, shoot, walk, look, reload and mele, everything else is completely new, like walking up to an intractable item that says "press x to interact" he has to look down at the controller to find the button. Aim is bad, awareness is bad, general gaming knowledge is minimal as to be expected. He's not a fan of fantasy or anything prior to WW1, and wants to play a PVP game. We tried halo infinite and basically the only people left on the game are the vets and they are just too good for him to catch up. I think hero shooters, fighting games, and fast TTK games like siege and COD are out of the picture. I thought he might like battlefield 2042 and maybe the finals TDM once he gets his aim back (if he does). But I am really stumped because ultimately I think casual gaming is dead so PVP might not be an option at all. Any recommendations?
