Sticking up for my kids

How do you deal with your kids being reprimanded for another kids bad behavior (my nephew). He is younger than my kids for reference. I can give examples but not sure if it will be removed since the bad behavior isn’t my child. I’m a non-confrontational person, but I also want my kids to know how to stick up for themselves in a respectful manner. How should I handle bringing it up to my sister in law? Any advice is much appreciated.

Family issue

I just want unbiased opinions on a situation that is bothering me. So Sunday, we are at my in laws in the pool. My two kids were splashing around in the pool as kids do. My sister in law was also in the pool. Her son didn’t want to get in but was sitting right next to the stairs. My son splashed and some got on her son. He immediately starts crying and my sister in law says “*****!” (My son’s name). He was currently standing on the stairs and she pushed him into the pool so she could get out to pick up her son. Granted, my son did have on floaties but he went all the way under and got water up his nose.

Also, another example. My daughter was building a house out of magnitiles and my nephew came and kicked it down for no reason. My daughter of course starts crying. They yell at her for being upset instead of him. Like wtf??

I’m generally a non confrontational person. I just like to keep the peace. But I was also never taught to stand up for myself. I want my kids to know how to do that in a respectful manner though. It has just been playing over and over in my mind.

Am I being dramatic?? What would you do in this situation?
