Hair blind?

I’ve been told my hair is long- but I see it being closer to medium. Sometimes I see the ‘long’ but not often. Like the first photo- to me it is long, but in the 2nd photo it’s definitely not. These are about a month apart- probably less. What would you say?

First overnight 2A wave styling

Last night I washed my hair with my Garnier Fructis Pure shampoo followed by a finger comb with Maui hibiscus conditioner. I rinsed this out with cold water. Afterwards I prayer palm squeezed the excess water out of each side and followed with a micro fiber towel scrunch until it was no longer dripping.
I applied Aussie Hair Insurance leave in conditioner and scrunched afterwards. I followed this with Aussie intense hold mousse applied from the roots to the ends with prayer palms and then scrunched.
After air drying for quite some time (maybe about 30%/40% dry) I placed all my hair in a loose ponytail (pineapple plop) on the top of my head and slept with a silk bonnet.
This morning I scrunched out the cast and voila! Im going to see if I can revive these waves tomorrow- any tips are welcome. I’m so happy with the results and appreciate the advice I received on my last post!

Styling my 2A waves for the first time

I have been struggling to style my hair in a way that would allow the natural wave to come through. After some reading I think I’ve determined that I have determined what I believe to be my wave type (2A). The top photo is my hair with no products or heat and only finger combed. The bottom photo is the result of the new routine.
To start, I used a clarifying shampoo (Herbal Essence tea tree but I do also have Garnier Fructis Pure shampoo for the other days) and ran my fingers through my hair after applying Maui hibiscus conditioner.
I gave my ends a quick squeeze with a micro fiber towel afterwards. While my hair was still quite wet I applied Aussie leave in conditioner and scrunched each side. I then used Aussie mousse (for straight/wavy hair) and prayer palmed it to each side followed by more scrunching.
Then I diffused my hair for an eternity- I don’t usually use heat so I kept it low and gave each section a cold blast before moving on) and finally scrunched one last time with a bit of jojoba oil.
I’m not sure how to sleep with the waves and I’m open to any advice you guys have!
